A man with different names - Some people call him Ardhanarishwara (half-woman lord), Maheshwara (the great lord), and some Gangadhara (bearer of the Ganga). 

But do you know what is the essence of the name Shiva?

And why there is so large a following of Lord Shiva?

I myself belong to a family and even a group of friends who is big devotees of Shiva.
